After purchasing my new P320 X-Carry, I decided that I wanted to use a Trijicon RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED Red Dot. Yes I know that the P320 is already milled out to accept their Romeo Series of optics, but I wanted something that is tried and true. With the P320 X Series of pistols, when putting on a Red Dot, you will lose the rear sight. But I didn’t want to lose my rear sight. So I went searching the internet hoping to find a company that made a plate that incorporates all of my needs/wants.
After about 30min of searching I came across C&H Precision Weapons that offered their R1P/DPP Cut to RMR/SRO/Holosun Adapter Plate with Rear Dovetail for the P320 X Series. I have never heard of this company before, so I started to do some research. After looking at their Facebook, I noticed that they have been quite busy and in the Milling Game for quite sometime. I noticed that the R1P/DPP Cut to RMR/SRO/Holosun Adapter Plate with Rear Dovetail was out of stock but I sent them a Facebook message asking what the Backorder log is looking like, and they advised that they were about to post it up and to go ahead and order it on 1/29/2021 and had it on 2/4/2021.
When the plate arrived, it looks very well made. There are no machine marks and it appears to be coated.
Looking at C&H Precision’s website, I went off their recommendations and started to find the correct suppressor height sights that I will be needing for my Adapter Plate. They recommend the Front Sight will need to be a .330″ Blade Height and the Rear will be a .395 GLOCK Rear Sight. Searching for the right rear sight was a bit challenging but Dawson Precision offers all the Suppressor Height Sights for this project. Unfortunately, I wanted to be different. I wanted to keep my night sights…I’m weird like that, I know.
I contacted Sig Sauer and spoke with Brennan and he was able to find me an X-Ray Suppressor Height Sight and it was delivered in less than a week! He was right on point when it came to finding it for me. As far as the rear sight, I found a rear Suppressor Height Sights by AmeriGlo for the Glock Series pistols. It arrived in record time as well.

Installing the Plate
Putting it all together, I went to my Local Gun Shop, Clayton Guns to use their space and tools. Uninstalling the factory plate was easy, just remove the rear slide plate and remove the extractor spring and the firing pin. Be careful not to lose the extractor. Then remove the two screws on the inside of the slide. Don’t be surprised if the screws have Loctite on them, so it may be a bit stiff to remove.
Apply a drop of Red Loctite to each screws and then install the new adaptor plate using the supplied screws from C&H Precision. I used their MGW SP1000 Sight Pusher tool and was able to install the front sight and rear sight with ease. Adding the Trijicon RMR Type 2 Adjustable LED Red Dot was just as easy…just screw it in the adapter plate.
