I purchased the Bushnell Trophy XLT for my new Savage Axis .270 because it was a reasonable price for a scope that have some decent reviews. The price was right and so I bit the bullet, so to speak.

I also purchased some scope mounts from DNZ for the Savage Axis, which where about $50. I go by the philosophy if you buy a good optic and not a good mount what’s the point of buying a good optic?

The box of this scope is what you’d expect sturdy enough to protect the scope in transit and provides enough information about the scope to see if it’s what you’re looking for.
