When searching for holster for the Polymer80 PFC9, we came across ANR Designs out of Manchester, NH. We really liked their no BS style and liked that they offer a wide range of products for a lot of different makes and models floating around out here in the market.

Here’s a quick down and dirty History Lesson on ANR Designs:

The story begins in one of the last few remaining free states known as New Hampshire. Many folks have no clue where NH is or that is has some of the most Second Amendment friendly firearms legislation in the country! What started as an idea between two individuals, Alex and Ryan, officially became a business in January of 2014 (Ryan has since left to pursue his dream to become a farmer in Hawaii). We began 3D printing firearm accessories and novelty items. As our brand grew, the community followed. With our business strengthening, our innovative drive grew, and we dove into the holster game head on. This next year was crucial, days and nights were spent molding, cutting and polishing new designs and products. We soon built a great reputation and not long after, our KYDEX holsters became a household name throughout the country. Our business has now grown into a multi-member cross functional outfit with the capability of adhering to our customers’ needs efficiently. To this day, we pride ourselves on delivering a product with exceptional quality, built by the people, for the people.

Looking at their Instagram and YouTube, we knew that this company is going to be great. Alex brings enthusiasm to his videos and feeds and we liked that.

ANR Designs offers IWB and OWB options for Non-Lightbearing and Lightbearing pistols as well as Mag Carriers. Also there is availability for Left handed shooters as well through ANR! Picking out your holster is quite easy. Firgure out if you’re going to be needing an IWB or OWB holster first. Then as yourself if you’re going to be using a Light or Not. ANR offers probably the most extensive pallet to choose from when it comes to colors. They offer 54 different Colors/Patterns to include Kryptek, Multicams, ATAC’s, Carbon Fiber, and many more! They offer over 100 different makes and models of pistols to choose from. The light options are your more common users like from Streamlight, Surefire, Inforce, and Olight. Attaching your holster to your belt is offered in 5 different ways to include the Pancake style, Injection Molded, and Speed Clips.

I think the main thing that drew us to ANR Designs was they offer a Lifetime Warranty (at an additional cost) on their holsters. Not a lot of companies even offer such a warranty on their holsters.

If you purchase the Lifetime Warranty coverage, this covers broken holsters and cracked holsters, broken hardware or clips. The holster must be returned to the address on the website with a note and order number. The replacement coverage only covers the item that was warranted, not the entire order if other items were not warranted. 30-Day Manufacturer’s Warranty still applies.

So which one did we decide on? We ended up picking out the OWB Lightbearing Holster for the Polymer80 PFC9 w/ TLR-1 in the Kryptek Typhon pattern. Upon arrival, I had to try it out! ANR Designs manufacturers their holsters to be canted forward or backwards at the descretion of the end-user. Their holsters are molded to be drawn straight up. In most instances, people tend to carry their firearms forward at like a 5 to 15 degree cant to allow for easier drawing. After moving the belt loops up and down, I figured out which works best for me and slide the pistol right it. It “clicked” in just fine and has strong retention. I turned the unloaded pistol upside down over a bed in the event it would happen to fall out, but retention is quite nice! It held up to vigurous shaking and it didn’t come out at all.

I have been carrying this pistol religiously since taking it out to the range and the ANR Designs OWB makes carrying it a breeze. Like some holsters, there are jagged lines and just aren’t comfortable. But with ANR, the smooth rounded edges are a dream. If I decided later on to get this pistol milled out for an RMR, then this holster will accomodate that just fine due to the fact that all ANR Design holsters come suppressor sight ready up to 0.450″ tall.

At the end of the day, ANR Designs offers quite a lot of bang for your buck. Now, the price of holsters will vary depending on if you choose OWB, IWB, with a light, without a light, which color/pattern you are wanting. The OWB starts out around $85 and the IWB start out around $83. I know what some people are thinking…what in the world! That’s expensive for a holster! I’ll just stick to my Uncle Mikes $15 holster, it’ll do the job! But does it really though? It’s nice to have a piece of mind that your pistol is secured properly and will last you a long time. There are some people that believe Kydex is the devil and will scratch up their pistols…and they’ll stick to their Leather Holsters. But times have changed, and Kydex just lasts longer and has better retention. It’s more ideal for the EDC user in mind!

If you are in the market for a new holster that is Made 100% in the USA, then check out ANR Designs and see if they have what you need to get the job done!

As always, ya’ll be good and be safe!
